We’ve all been in a position where we are online and interested in something or have a question that needs to be answered immediately ..

Since we are on the site or page we want the question answered before we move onto another site or page.  And we may be asking because we have our credit card in our hands and ready to buy the item in front of us.

If live chat doesn’t answer right away, it is possible that we forget about the purchase or look somewhere like AMAZON where we can search the product and get it fast….

  • While making an online purchase, 83% of customers needed live support for assistance. If you have a customer and are not accessible to them upon point of purchase you could be in trouble…don’t just send them to a website

  • 62% of customers were inclined to purchase products online if live customer support is available.

  • 38% of customers have said that they have made a purchase due to a good live chat session itself.

  • The availability of live chat assistance has been found to decrease sales cart abandonment by up to 30%, which resulted in an increase in sales.

  • 63% of customers reported that they are more likely to return to a site that offers live chat.

  • In addition,  if you redirect your prospect you are most likely to lose the sale.  So sending them several links is a recipe for disaster.


You have an opportunity to control the environment of the sale.

You have the ability with messenger to leverage the prospect’s availabilty to you immediately.  I have seen a person respond to my post, taken them to LIVE CHAT (aka messenger) and had them to purchase products in the span of 5 minutes while taking orders with other people as well.
